Sabrina Langer is a business management senior who interned with MGM Resorts International this summer.
Tell us a little bit about how you landed the internship:
At the beginning of my junior year, I attended an information session for MGM Resorts International. I went into the information session knowing I was interested in the hospitality industry, but I was unfamiliar with what area I wanted to get into. Following the presentation, I was able to connect with each of the college program representatives, and they helped me understand that Hotel Operations would be the best fit for my personality and interests. Following the information session, I stayed in contact with each of the representatives through the application process. I believe that my first impression at this information session contributed to being offered this position.
What was your favorite part of the internship?
My favorite part of the internship was getting exposure to each of the different MGM Resorts properties while getting to network with executives at each of the properties. MGM Resorts is a huge company that caters to every type of guest. I enjoyed attaining that exposure and learning the similarities and differences between each of their properties around the world. In addition, I really enjoyed getting to interact with the hotel guests on a daily basis, impacting their experience at MGM Grand. It is this reason why I am so passionate about the hospitality industry and hope to continue my career with MGM Resorts International.

In addition, the career coaches in the professional development center helped me through the application process. After landing this position, I believe Eller and all the available resources will help set anyone for success in their chosen career path!
