Why did you choose to work for Vanguard?

Upon graduation from UA Eller, I was looking to work for a global company. I talked to Vanguard at a career fair and what stood out to me the most was Vanguard’s client owned structure and the fact that they were global with 15 different offices worldwide. I was drawn to the idea of being part of company that made money for its client and not just for its equity shareholders. I was also moved by Vanguard’s commitment to corporate citizenship, and Vanguard was the easy choice for me.

I am a participant in the Vanguard Accelerated Development Program (VADP). I currently work as a Project Lead in our High Net worth Clients department. In my role, I work closely with our Client Experience team to find ways to ensure that we are delivering on our promise to create exceptional client experiences, drive investment success, and to provide relevant investment solutions.

What do you enjoy most about working at Vanguard?

What I enjoy the most about working for Vanguard is the supportive environment. You feel welcome, respected, and at ease. Vanguard is also a firm believer in culture, diversity, inclusion, collaboration, recognition and celebrating successes.

What is your fondest UA memory?

My fondest UA memory was the day I received my UA Eller acceptance letter to study Business Marketing.  After going through the rigorous application process, many weeks of preparing for the interview and studying for the skills assessment test, it was a huge relief to know that I would be able to continue the academic pursuits to prepare me for a business career. My passion for marketing and business especially around working with people and understanding their business needs has been an ongoing source of personal inspiration and growth. It has helped define who I am and what I am about. It is my connection to others and a source of giving, receiving knowledge and love.  I hope to one day become a source of inspiration for others, and to be able to give back the guidance that others have provided for me.
