Thomas Daniel is an Accounting and Management Information Systems senior. He interned at Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX this summer.
Tell us a little bit about how you landed the internship: I attended an information session to get to know a little about the company and the people who would be interviewing me. Information sessions are critical to get an edge in an interview.
What is a typical day at your internship like? TI allows you to pick your own hours, I usually come in around 8 o’clock. I worked in Corporate Audits where I performed the Internal Controls Checklist audit.
What has been your favorite part of the internship so far? My favorite part is the incredible friendly atmosphere and after-work socials that are hosted by TI.
What advice you have for other students looking for a similar internship? My advice is to get involved with professional clubs on campus because these clubs help you land great jobs.
