Why did you decide to go to graduate school? I made the decision to attend graduate school my senior year when I was accepted into the Accelerate Master’s Program for MIS. I always wanted to pursue my education further and this opportunity allowed me too without spending two years getting my degree.
What was the preparation and application process like? The preparation was really my entire undergraduate career. Everything I did in my undergrad, from my classes, projects, groups, all played a major role in preparing me to apply to grad school. The application was straight forward and I was not required to take any standardized exams due to my course experience here at Eller.
What has been the most challenging part of your experience? The most rewarding? The most challenging part of pursuing my master’s degree is time management. I thought my undergrad taught me time management, but it wasn’t till I started my Masters when I realized I had to step up to the next level.
What do you hope to do after you complete the program? After I complete the program, I have already signed to be a Consultant for Sunera, a Cyber Security consulting firm, in Newport Beach, California.
What advice do you have for students looking to pursue the same advanced degree? The one piece of advise I think is critical for someone pursuing the same advanced degree would be to never give up and keeping pushing forward because its not going to be easy, but it will definitely rewarding.
