Thanks to Eller, members of U of A Beta Alpha Psi, the Professional Accounting Fraternity, had the opportunity to participate in the BAP Annual Meeting this summer in Anaheim, California. The students represented The University of Arizona chapter while attending sessions regarding leadership development and opportunities for growth.
The students also volunteered in a Community Service Day sponsored by KPMG LLP and Orange County United Way with the goal of promoting literacy. They visited schools in local underserved neighborhoods to play games with and read to students. Each student went home with a book at the culmination of the day, many of which were the children’s very first books.
The slogan for the annual meeting, “The Best is Yet To Be” is fitting, as the UA BAP students are headed back to Tucson with vital knowledge to bring back to their chapter in order to make the most out of weekly meetings, grow membership and increase retention.
