Britnae’ Lee is majoring in Business Management and graduating in May 2018. After graduation, Britnae’ will be working as the Client Services Associate for Fisher Investments in Camas, WA.
What is the position you have accepted? Operations (Client Services Associate)
How did you find this position? I found this position through being on the executive board member of Eller Management Association. They attended club meetings and I spoke to them at the career fair.
Tell us about the process of interviewing with this company. After speaking with Fisher at an EMA meeting and conversing with them at the career fair, I submitted my resume and received an email to set up a phone interview. I passed the first phone interview and they flew me out to Camas, WA to interview in person. Following, I had one last phone interview and was given the offer. Fisher Investments made the process very smooth and they were extremely helpful along the way.
What previous experience have you had that you think contributed to your success securing this position? (ex. campus involvement, leadership, past internship): I believe my prior leadership experience lead me to secure this position. I have been an assistant manager, mentor, and president of a club; having these opportunities have given me the confidence I need to succeed. Also, I have been working full-time outside of school for the past 6 years, which shows I am willing to work and do what it takes to get the job completed.
What are you most looking forward to about your position/company? I am looking forward to working with Fisher Investments because they are a great company with outstanding compensation and mobility. As a management major, one wouldn’t expect me to seal a job in the finance sector, but I challenged myself to do so. I am excited for the next move!
