What is the position you have accepted? General intern at Kraft-Engel Management
How did you find this position? An amazing alumni who introduced me to someone in my desired field of study. This networking opportunity introduced me to someone who had previously worked with Kraft-Engel Management and who was able to pass along a good word about me and introduced me to one of the managers.
Tell us about the process of interviewing with this company. After my wonderful networking opportunity, I performed a phone interview with one of the managers at Kraft-Engel Management. During this phone interview, I asked the manager informational questions to better understand his position and what kind of projects the company worked on.
What previous experience have you had that you think contributed to your success in securing this position? My sophomore year of college I received an internship at the Jeff Haskel Recording Studio. This internship gave me the basic knowledge and understanding on audio production and the music industry as a whole. On top of this internship, the semester I was applying for Eller, Career Coach Lyndsey Edmonds put me in touch with one of her friends with whom I was able to conduct an informational interview. Through the process of networking, everyone I had built a relationship with, was so willing to help me in my success in finding an internship.
