Anna Rizzo is a Pre-Business major graduating in May of 2020. This past summer, she interned for Celebreak in Barcelona, Spain.
What did you find most challenging about your internship? I found that the work environment and motivation is very different. In Spain, many people will take their time for tasks and not give a deadline or urgency which is the total opposite of the United States.
What advice do you have for other students that are also considering interning abroad? It is an amazing experience. It is also nothing like an internship in the US which has positive and negatives.
How did Eller (or your previous coursework) prepare you for your internship? Eller coursework has prepared me by having me speak with many different people about many different topics. This may sound unimportant to many people, but being in an office with people that are from all over the world, this skill is something that a lot of people do not learn.
