If you worked on a big project during your internship, please describe what you did to help. I worked on a project to determine if our new website would be successful. We sent out a survey to 26 different people to ask their opinion on the website. I then recorded all the results and make the data into easy to read infographics. I then put the graphics and information into a PowerPoint that will be presented to the CEO of the company.
What advice do you have for other students that are also considering interning abroad? I would tell them to make sure they are interested in the company before the commit to it. Some of my friends just went to the first internship that accepted them and they aren’t enjoying themselves. I researched my company a lot even before my interview and knew that It was a place I would like to work at. It helped me learn the skills I wanted to develop and everyone was super helpful/ I got to work on my Spanish.
How did Eller (or your previous coursework) prepare you for your internship? Eller and my ISTA classes both prepared me for my internship by helping me understand different programming languages. Having seen a variety of different coding languages proved to help me overall at my internship. I could work with different departments and different programs within the coding academy instead of being stuck at one department. Also, I was able to work in the marketing department easily since I knew most of the marketing tactics that the use already thanks to my Eller classes.
