Global Spotlight – Jake Epstein, Love To Know

Eller PDC Coordinator Student Stories

Jake Epstein is a Finance major graduating in May 2019. Last summer, Jake interned with Love To Know in Barcelona, Spain.

If you worked on a big project during your internship, please describe what you did to help. I helped the company with recording its finances. We also implemented a new system. I also made excel formulas to make the process faster. I also have been recording purchases on amazon.

What did you find most challenging about your internship? I didn’t find much of it difficult. Reading Spanish is difficult. Using excel is also difficult. Fitting in with everyone is also hard because I speak English.

What advice do you have for other students that are also considering interning abroad? It is a great experience. You will be able to have fun. Always show up ready for work. Be a good team member.

How did Eller (or your previous coursework) prepare you for your internship? Eller helped me work hard. Eller also made me organized. Eller made me able to listen and comprehend better. I owe all of my skills to Eller.
