Eller PDC Coordinator Alumni Stories Leave a Comment

Gianna Turek is a risk advisor for EY in the greater San Diego area. Gianna notes that once you start your post grad job, everyone you work with comes from such various backgrounds with a diversified base and you can learn so much beyond you typical day to day activities. Gianna thinks that questioning individuals about their professional career path is something she still partakes in today. She says to never be afraid to reach out to any professional with questions about their path and you are the driver of your own career, so use your curious mindset to help get you there! Her favorite U of A memory is when she shared her Class of 2018 poem at the Eller graduation and it meant the world to her to have the opportunity to speak to her entire class and loved ones.

Any advice for student looking to enter your industry/company? In general, do not be afraid to reach out to any professional with questions about their career path. The process of questioning individuals about what drew them to their profession never ends, as I’m still partaking even though I graduated. You are the driver of your own career, so use your curious mindset to help get you there!
