Amalia Chamberlain is a Marketing major set to graduate in May 2020. This summer she interned for Univision as a Local Media Sales Intern in Los Angeles, California.
How did you get this internship?
I found this internship opportunity on Linked In and since I had no connections at the company I made sure to network. I was able to find a UA alum who worked at the company and helped me make more connections throughout the company which made me stand out during the hiring process.
What was a typical day like?

What was your favorite part of the experience?
My favorite part of the experience was being able to work for all departments at Univision. I was able to work with people in sales, marketing and promotions, creative services, and production. I learned so much about the media industry and the advertisement business. I loved being able to assist in selling an advertisement to helping produce an advertisement.
If you worked on a big project, please describe it below:
At the beginning of my internship I was assigned to work on a brand safety with 3 other interns from different departments. We worked on helping Univision better their influencers when it comes to them working with their clients. We created guidelines for expected behavior of an influencer on social media when working on a brand campaign.
How did Eller prepare you for your internship?
All the experiences I have had at Eller such as case comp, being involved in Eller organizations, and professional development opportunities really helped me succeed at my internship. I was able to maintain a great professional relationship with all Univision employees, present well in front of VP’s and key executives, and keep focused and motivated throughout the 10 week internship.
