Janelle Campos is a Finance major set to graduate in May 2020. This summer she interned for Levi Strauss & Co. as a Merchandise Planning Intern in San Francisco, California.
What was a typical day like?
A typical day at the office included attending team meetings, participating in different intern events, collaborating with my intern group on our project, and producing deliverables for the Retail Planning team.
What was your favorite part of the experience?
My favorite part of this experience was attending the Leadership Speaker Series events where the intern class got to hear from different senior leaders about their career journeys.
If you worked on a big project, please describe it below:
I worked with a team this summer to analyze the current stylist journey at LS&Co. and develop strategic recommendations on how to improve both the stylists’ and consumer’s experiences at the stores. After conducting some internal & external research, our team presented our findings to members of the Global Leadership Team.
How did Eller prepare you for your internship?
Eller prepared me for my internship by giving me a well-rounded understanding of the different business functions. Although I was on the Retail Planning team for the summer, I was able to comprehend how my team’s cross-functional partners operated as well.
